06 Predator 90 carb ?

Idles good, but if you try to excel, it falls on its face almost instantly.
Cleaned carb out 3 times now.. don't think it is directly the carb.
Seems like it runs out of gas.
Fuel flows into the carb from tank and filter just fine.
Minor adjustments of the air screw made no change.
Got sand into the carb at the dunes.. replaced the factory air filter with a K&N.
Sand in the reeds ?
Please help

Well no replies from anybody.
I did find out that if I turn the air screw all the way in to the bottom it runs.
Wierd, I don't know if this will continue to solve my problem, or create a new one.

I have one that starts great and runs great as long as I have it on full choke.
I disasssembled the carb last night, cleaned it, blew air through it, back together and still won't start, idle or WOT unless its on full choke.
Any suggestions?
I was planning on tearing the carb apart again tonite and clean it again.

Mines having the same exact problem. runs good with the choke on, but you take it off and it falls on its face and dies. I have had the carb apart three times to clean it, changed the spark plug, cleaned the filter, check the tank vent, replaced the fuel filter. Still going bad. I have been advised that the stator could be at fault, but i want to cover all my bases before I go there. I feel your pain.

I swapped out the cdi box, but it didn't make any difference. keep plugging on.

Ok, I took apart the carb again and cleaned it thoroughly! Blew out the main and pilot jets, choke passages and such. Found out I had the idle slide screw to far in. readjusted it and the mixture screw. Now it runs without the choke on at all, but its flooding at idle. The only way it will stay running is if I hold it WOT. Then it will barely run. I'm about ready to run it off a cliff. Any ideas?

Did you guys take the jets out and clean them good with carb cleaner? Sounds like the pilot jet is plugged, also remove the air -fuel screw and sray with carb cleaner, should set the scrwe 2 to2.5 turns out.

yeah, I removed them both and cleaned them with a jet drill. i didn't go larger, just enuff to clean the hole out. It idles with the choke off but now the darn thing has what seems to be a float stuck. :l
