I have a 2004.5 polaris sportsman ho and for the life of can not find them to see which one is bad. I have a picture of under the hood if you need to see it. Everything I have seen say's they are in 2 little sealed pouches, this bike has no sealed pouches. I have ripped the whole cover off the front of this thing and NOTHING!.

As for breakers....I would say NO!!!! fuses or fusable links maybe...
Do you have the wiring drawing for that quad?
Follow the 12 volt power wire back through the drawing and go from there!!!!!
See where you loose power (12-14 volts).....
Who told you about these 2 little pouches???...Were they talking about links......Caper.....

some bikes have resettable fuse/circuit breakers or links. they all do about the same thing i beleave. i cnat see them in the wiring harness on the web page but it doesnt break down what is what either.

Yes it is an HO. I had to replace my CDI box. After doing so I still have no power. I know you are thinking why replace it. Trust me it was smoked. I have also traced the battery wires and I don't see anything that looks like a fusible link.

No, this was an OEM rreplacement CDI box. No heat sinks, solid black and a rubber looking coating on one side. There is a part that has cooling fins on it under the hood but that was not smoked. I just need to find the fusible link and see if it is bad.

O.K. here is another tip for you to try............
Take the RED power wire "off" the battery.....Then with an OHM meter(set to Ohms) check the end of this wire and the other to ground (frame).........If you have a beep or reading in OHMS.........There is a DEAD short somewhere..........This may be the reason you have no power............When you say "SMOKED" that scares me (I am A Electrician)..LOL..LOL.....Caper...........
What is your battery voltage when the quad is just sitting there??????

Your machine has a box under the hood that controls way too many things; voltage regulator, rectifier, circuit breakers, safety switches, hot light, fan, etc, etc. The 2004.5 sportsman are bad for curciut breakers failing in these boxes. The box has ribs/cooling fins on it and is located under the hood. It is about 6"X4"X1". It has 2 or 3 wiring plugs on it; one of which has 12 or more wires on it. If I recall correctly one plug has three yellow wires (charge coils from the stator.)
