does anyone have one of these mine is an 06.
recently the oil pressure warning light comes on when you rev it up.
like when you run against the governor .i dont know how long it has
been doing this .kids now tell me its been doing this for a while now
great huh . also anyone had any exp with the electric starter this one quit working

Starter...
My son's 06 quit working shortly after we got it.
The starter motor tried to operate, but the gearing seemed to be stuck.
I took it all apart, didn't see anything, still didn't work.
So I put a wrench on it and forced the gears to turn, you could hear the dirt grinding when I did that.
I sprayed a ton of WD into the area over and over, and kept turning it with the wrench, and it freed up.
I expect it to happen again, but it has been working for a long time now.
Hope this works for you, but if your starter isn't even trying then this probably isn't your problem.

 

I have an '06 we picked up about two weeks ago.
The oil light does the same thing, comes on when you accelerate. I think it is just a crappy sensor but not positive. It is full of oil when it does it.
My starter also sounds terrible. Took it to the dealer, they greased it. Sounds worse now. I have to convince my son to use the starter he is afraid he is damaging it when he starts it. Out of the mouths of babes.
The Polaris dealer says it is fine. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]
After this week I will take it back again and ask them to replace it.
