Anyone here have the Polaris hitch mount plow? I was wanting to get one of these when I pick up my SPHO. Just wanted to know how well they work. I like the idea of no loss in ground clearance and ease of use just back over hook up and go. Thanks in advance.

Rowdy, if you look down the post at "I have the deluxe plow system" 4wheelindakota had a very good post on this system along with a few other posts. Hope this helps. I'm still waiting for mine. Polaris or the delivery truck screwed up the shipment and lost the bolt package that goes with it. Go figure, I got about 10 inches of snow last night on top of the 6 inches we've got since Sunday. All kinds of snow to plow and no PLOW!

I went to get one the other night, and it turns out that if you want to lift with the winch, the front bracket is not available until mid January. If you want the manual lift, they have the parts for that, but for an extra 90 bucks. I ended up going with the old style.

Hey Rowdy,

Where did you buy your SP ? How much did you get it for? I couldn't get a deal around here to save my life. Ended up taking one for $300 off list and being happy with it. That is about what I would have given at Spinas, just got it a little closer.

You can get the front bracket separate. We just got one in. It is in the parts book part of the manual. It comes as a kit with the bell crank. Is kind of pricy but will save you about $40. Let me know if you want one and I can supply you with the part number.

6999.99 with winch installed out the door. Mike at Schumaker Performance made me the best deal local. I would have had to drive at least 1.5 hours to save 125 bucks. So I told him to get a yellow one for me I'll pick it up when I get back from vacation 1/8/01. I whish santa would have brought me this one! She said no! You have to buy that toy for your self!

$6999 !!!!!! Those SOBs owe me $100 !!!!

Seriously, they ARE a good bunch. You'll be very happy with the service. They'll come pick it up in 1 month, grease and wash it, and generally check it out.

My radiator fan was making noise when they looked at it. They brought it back to me and ordered one. When the part came in, they came back and got it again, to make the repair.

I think the attachment is great, but the plow frame/lift is poorly engineered.

1) The lift doesnt go high or low enough. The plow drags when backing up, and will not follow contours as you crest a hill due to insufficient "drop out"

A winch lift will cure #1

2) The frame itself rides within an inch or so of ground.

A taller scraper blade will cure this.

3) I bent a wing prop (v blade already.

Guess I;ll stick to my Boss 8'2" power V. This ATV plowing is too slow!

I've used mine twice so far. I'd have to agree that it doesn't have enough range of motion (up and down) with the manual lift. I ended up putting a u-bolt on the front of the frame and using the winch for the second storm. This worked much better. The mount is easy to connect/diconnect. I had a moose plow on my last SP and hated how the mount hung down when the plow was removed. I used to bend the heck out of it when riding on rocky trails. Nothing hangs below the machine with the delux mount. Overall I would recommend it if you plan to use a winch to lift it. I also picked up a set of the spring spaces. These help keep the front from sagging and also keep my Mud-runners from hitting the fenders on big bumps.

So it sound like a good deal just as long as I use winch lift and I am!

Thanks Guys
