SP 500 front shock adjuster
#11
Thanks for all the reply's!! I can't wait to put them in. My guess is that I will keep the adjuster in the stock position when I am putting everything back together that way there is no tension on the spring. Now I do have to take the front rack and plastic off right?? Oh and here is the auction number to the one I bought. It has an animation on how it works 290097941302.

Hey Sten - I know you just did yours but I was wondering how much time you got on yours with the spacers you made. Reason is, I wondered if the bottom of the springs tend to slide around seeing that the spring doesnt sit in a cradle - any issues?

taking the storage box off is easy. 4 -1/2" bolts and 4 torque srewsin the little slots in the back(might be filled w/ mud mine was) sorry cant remeber the size like a 25 to 35 i think and 4 torque screws on the bottom that srew into the fenders. the stock springs dont have any craddle to hold them either so it souldnt move around more then they did. ive done some wheelies and a little rough ground and so far thier fine. these are 2" cpcv conns. filled in w/ pipe on both sides to add strenth and to make it so the spring cant fall in side.
