Man, crosscountry, we would dehydrate if we wore that much clothing when it is 65-70. We would sweat out. That's the kind of gear we wear when it is 25-30 out. The body is an amazing thing. I was doing aluminum siding about 20 years ago on a 15 degree day in January. I had to go in and thaw out every 1/2 hour or so. Once, when I was coming down off the staging I saw a guy walking by in a t-shirt. I had to ask, so I said to him, "how can you be out in a t-shirt in this weather"? He said, "I was in Siberia", with a very thick Russian accent. I went over to him to welcome him to the US and shook his hand. It was WARM. His body had acclimated itself to the extreme cold of Siberia. People say Northerners talk fast. We do. My theory is that the weather plays a large part in this. Up North, if you don't speak fast, you'll die of exposure. Down South, if you don't speak slowly, you'll die from the heat and humidity. Just a theory. When it's warm out you drive faster to provide a better cooling effect!

Yeah, it was nice yesterday. The WHOLE weekend is supposed to be nice. Typical New England weather. From winter to summer. Wednesday was cold and raw at about 45 degrees and Monday is supposed to be mid-70s or higher. 1 month and 5 days until trails are open.
