I am sort of with Caper - I want nothing to do with living in a place that has animals that can kill - Though I think they are cool (in YOUR house)

I will take our snow over killer animals, hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes, and over volcanoes

 

Do you guys put up with these every day?????
That one looks like it has no HEAD!!!!!!!...They are the ones I like......LOL...LOL...

Is there any Law that protects them?........Or you just dispose of them as fast as you can find them!!!
I really don't know how you guys can do much of anything outside!!!!!!.even after dark!!!!!

Yeah, pretty much every day. Of course they are just now waking up from their Winter siesta, and they are hungry and MEAN !! I work outside just about every night on my trucks and things, so you have to be kinda careful where you step in the shadows away from the work lights. I almost stepped on one the other night, but then that is why we call them "buzzzzz tails" cause some times they let you know if you are coiming to close.

Larry cut his head off, because he saves the skins and rattles, and makes belts and things from them. As for me, there isn't a good one alive with the head still on. The only good snake is a DEAD ONE !! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

Unfortunately in Arizona they are a protected species........HOWEVER, when they are on my place, they AINT PROTECTED by me [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Last year I came home from someplace, and my wife (who is dissabled ) was out on the porch with her little dog in her arms. When I came up she said there is a snake in the house.....I said what kind???......she said "I DIDN'T ASK IT" !!!!.......He was in the living room under the table, and do you think I could find my snake catcher anywhere ??? NO WAY !! ........ Had to go in and get him with her cane [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

BTW........We GIVE them away, so come on down you can have as many as you want [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Hey Brutus, I agree with you. But, we do have poisonous snakes in the NE. The Eastern Diamondback and I think the Copperhead. Also, the black widow spider and the brown recluse spider. So, we're not entirely free from venomous creatures. Still, I'll take the cold, snow, and ice over the scorpions and snakes of the Southwest, the earthquakes of California (even though I felt a small one here), the hurricanes, and tornadoes. I've only seen the aftermath of a couple small twisters my whole 44 years. I hope this storm on Thursday fizzles. There is supposed to be a rainstorm on Sunday that should wash away a good bit of the snow. I want to be out the day the trails open. Last year they were delayed by flooding many times.

I have a friend named Norman Greenough that lives in Dexter.....At least he did 35 years ago and I am sure he still does. He is retired by now, but rides his Harly all over the place in the summer. Maybe he moved to Florida since he retired, all of those people in Dexter are Millionares I understand ??? [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
