Scrammy I just need to check the AWD switch before I start to winch.....That helps!!!..LOL..LOL...

Default Winch question

Thanks for all of the feedback, its helps alot. My dealer recommended the warn 2.5 and was just wondering if he was helping me or not....thanks for the help

doug, i had a 2.5 on my 500 and had no problems. it would be fine until you only see the handle bars sticking out then watch out for a skidder. lol.

I HAVE SMOKED MY 2500# 3 TIMES ,, GET THE 3.0.. NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU"LL NEED IT!

now sten do i want to know about the skidder or was u just being smart?

i mean if we get stuck that bad in this country we need to go get a skidder to get us out. lol

it never hurts to go BIG, it better than not big enough...when all you see is the gas cap and light pod your gona wish ya went big...HAPPY EASTER - SAVAGE OUT!!

ahhh i c what ur saying sten i guess i was lucky than because i was about a foot over the bars in water and mud one time and kept going i know if i had gotten stuck it wouldnt have just poped up and floated to teh servise that time i WOULD have needed a skidder to get out

Default Winch question

I got the Warn/Polaris 2.5 when I got the X2. Son's ATP has the same. They've been good for us. I've pulled out his ATP, a friend's Sportsman, a Kawasaki Lakota, a Honda Recon, and my own X2 with my winch. Tough to get traction when you break through the crust of snowblower snow. Had to move my truck to get a good winch point that would pull me straight out. I highly recommend them.

if i had mi licens (getting permit tomorrow) i would have hooked on to a truck when i get it but one of the times i was out behind mi house in 4 feet and idont think i could have gotten out there with a truck with out getting that stuck to
