scrambler not wanting to shift

Default scrambler not wanting to shift

[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img] anyone had any problems with your wheeler not wanting to shift? my shift bar kept bending so i bought a new one, after i put it on it worked for a short while, now it is doing it again.. i have to work the shifter back and fourth until it goes in . some times i have to turn the motor off before it will go in gear.. any suggestions??

idled to high? shifting fork in tranny bent maybe. does it seem to slam in gear when it goes in?

naw the idle aint to high i already checked that . but yes i tend to slam in to gear when it does go in while running..

does it go in easy if the the linkage is unhooked? if not then i would say it a shifting fork issue. just an idear.

you know,,, i tried that thinking it was jus the linkage and it wasnt easy but it did shift ... im hoping it aint in the case,, cause thats a pain in the a$$ to get out,,

Default scrambler not wanting to shift

Check the little alluminum arm the shiftrod hooks to.They tend to strip out.It is called a "bell crank"
