Default Dead Trailblazer Yet Again

The soap continues... I got my carb back. The float was gummed up. Put everything back together and it still won't fire! I still have a blue spark, it's getting fuel, etc. The only thing is that I messed with the idle screw and the other screw (forget the name). I forgot where the stock settings were, so I guessed. Would this cause a problem? Anybody know what the stock setting are for these screws?

that would mess it up if its too far from the stock setting, but if its close it shouldnt. it would still fire with a little bit of throttle, but maybe not idle right.

I would try pulling a spark plug and putting just a little gas down the plug hole and then try starting it with the plug back in. If it is firing at the right time and everything you should at least get a little bit of running till you are out of gas in the cylinder. Oh while you have the plug out and before you put the gas down the cylinder put your finger over the plug hole and see if you have good compression, it should pop your finger off the hole.

1 1/2 to 2 turns out on the air screw should get you close. I would pick up a cheap compression tester from autozone it sure cant hurt at this point.

I'll give those ideas all a try. Which one is the air screw, the one with the phillips head screw or the flat one? What should I have the other one set to? If it doesn't fire today, I'm going to try to get it pulled out. If that doesn't work I have a few friends coming over and we are going to push lol. I'll owe them big time after this mess. Thanks again guys!

On my 99 TB the service manual says to turn the airscrew in (clockwise) until
it just stops then to turn it one full turn counter clockwise. Warm engine up
to operating temp. about 10 minutes. Set idle speed to 600-800 RPM
The airscrew is the one with a straight slot the idle has a philips (x).

How do I just the ilde screw if I can't get the damn thing running lol? If the idle screw is not properly set, would it prevent it from not running or would it just run like crap?

If Idle isn't set right it just won't stay running on it's own or it'll rev way up. It shouldn't affect whether the quad fires up or not.

That's what I thought. Just wanted to make sure. I'm going to get another new plug and pop that in as well. If none of this works, it'll be a LONG push. It'll be worth it because I really want this thingin my garage!
