Default Swing arm is loose

Hi, I have about 1/4" to 1/2" play in my swing arm from left to right. should the bushings be replace or try tighting up the nuts on both side? how do I access the nut on the left side? remove the clutch?

Thanks for any help!

Look for the chain side swing arm bolt moving forward and back in the frame. Common problem on those. I just rebuilt my 250, then the front end gave out. Kind of a waste of money for me. Doc

I took apart the chain side....bolt was loose...I tighten it at least 1 and half turns...my swing arm is tight now

I put back the old bearings to see how things are and my sprocket hub is rubbing against the hitch where the chain had made a groove...and i'm to grind down the groove flush and pick up new bearings tomorrow.

I still have some play on the rear axle..so i'm thinking the new bearings will help with that!

thanks for the reply guys
