I really like some of the features on the Hawkeye like the IRS and AWD but I worry a little about the power and vibration. I know that the Ozark is only a 250 but at 405 pounds dry it is a light little quad. A few of my friends have tried to convince me that I need a Kodiak 450 like they all have but I have resisted that notion. 20 + years of riding streetbikes and I know that losing pounds off a bike is just as important as horsepower when it comes to speed. Once I get settle in here at my new station I am going to go to the lower peninsula and test ride an Ozark. Once the local shop here sets up an 07 Hawkeye they are going to let me ride one.

Have you guys done any tuning to the CVT to get a little more power?

 

My Hawkeye is stock except for K&N air filter. My wife's riding style, or mine for that matter, are such that we aren't worried about milking extra power out of our ATVs.
