07 450Sp Starting

Default 07 450Sp Starting

Has anybody disconected the saftey switch on the start up so that you can start the bike in gear without having to use the brake if so which wires did ya have to disconect thanks

My 2006 will start in gear without using the brake!!....Did they change this for 2007??...Caper.....

Yes they changed it for the 07's my 06 500 will start in gear also and its kind of a pain if ya need to give it alittle gas hold the brake and turn the key at the same time

You will need three hands to do that!!!!!!!......Why did they change that......Someone must have got hurt when starting the quad in gear..........Cover there a$$ in Court for the 2007 year I guess......Caper......

Man, that's crazy kinda like the override
switch thing, problems occur when you
need specific operations, winching and
stuck in the mud, multi-tasking to get
out.

So I could see this causing me some issues
as I am under my deck, starting my quad, ducking
walking with it to power itself in reverse.
Yes, its NOT the safest way to get it outta
there but laying flat on my bike to control
it could decapitate me. So this is my method.
Was sticking it in neutral and pushing it out etc.
too much weight as I hit the inclide in my yard.

Hey maybe that is just one more Quadovator
custom product for them to make, LOL.

yes it is a pain even if they had it set up with the foot brake it would be OK but like ya say somebody will come up with a bypass

is it the foot brake that needs to be pushed down or hand brake?

Can you lock it on(hand brake) then turn key with one hand......other hand press the gas a little like you said!!!!................................Will that work for you!!!!....Caper.........
