questions about x2

2 things i see i will have to work on ,well 3 really. the exhaust on this thing will fry your leg on a hot day ,maybe a little more heat guard.
i going to need a rear bumper , i'm thinking of bolting the bumper to the bed ,so it will tilt along with it . this way i can keep it up and away from my hitch reciever. i've already figured how , just gota get it made.
and the tailgate has way to much vibration in it , the latch and something in side. maybe i can take it apart and stuff it with foam.
07 500 x2 ........only 30 miles on it.

I agree. I would love one on mine. I have the front tube bumper and side fender protectors...but the protection on the rear is NADA! I know some metal guys, but I can't say that I would design a good one. Do you guys have any rough sketches on what one should look like? I'll pass it on and see what we can get made. Then just get it Line-X'd for protection (or powder coated if u prefer).

I haven't had any problem with exhaust heat. Regarding bolting on a bumper to the bed, I would be hesitant due to some of the complaints about the brittleness of the plastic.
A rear bumper that would somewhat match the front brushguard would be nice.

guitarpicker, i'm going to bolt a 3in tall piece of box tubing under my bed to the bed rails ,then i will bolt the 1 1/4 square tube bumper under it . the 3in lower will still let the tailgate work without hitting the bumper. i've already cut it out ,just have to get it welded up and painted. it looks like it will work great. i'll post pics after i get it installed.

'Look forward to seeing the pictures. Anybody else that has done this, I think we'd all like to see your pictures on this thread.

You can check my pics. on here to see my rear bumper. It is attached to the bottom of the bed using 3 of the existing bolt holes. It has been used as an anchor point for getting winched out of mud and been through a crash off my trailer into the back of my truck. It has not caused any damage to the box plastic or the metal box mount.
