Just wanted some input on the trail blazer. I had a 00 500 scrambler 5004x4 and sold it and bought a raptor and I also have a 300ex which I just bought for her but she doesnt like the clutch so I was thinking of the trailblazer due to she doesnt like going anywhere diffucult. Any info good/bad would be helpfull plus what is the best price anyone has seen them or bought one for they retail for $3199.
Thanks!

The trailblazer is perfect for her in terms of being easy to ride and comfortable do to its plush seat, full floorboards, and auto tranny.

But now your saying I'm the one who's going to maintaning this thing it better be reliable.

In the june '97 issue of dirt wheels they did a 24 hour torture test with the polaris trailblazer and the honda recon.

They ran both machines for 24 hours straight on typical everyday terrain to test the reliability of the two machines.

The trailblazer lasted the whole 24 hours and the testers said that the machine ran as great at the end as it did when they first started.

The only thing that broke was the rear shock after it was rolled doing 30mph, it flipped 4 times and still was running, thats what I call reliability.

That was Three years ago polaris has improved the rear shock and added the concentric drive (keeps the chain tensioned at all times to reduce maintenence).

Congrats on your marriage and dont let her sell the ring for hop ups.

the trailblazer is a great machine.

I enjoyed mine a lot.

If she ever gets tired of it, you can always get an RCR kit and it will run even better!

Go for it. I love mine. And like 94DGblaster said, if she decides she needs a little more bang later - it's really easy and fairly inexpensive to add mods.

I swore I couldn't own a quad without a clutch, so when I went shopping for a quad I got a Banshee. My friend was used to waverunners so he didn't want a clutch. He bought a Warrior anyway. But when a Tblazer became available [2500.oo for a 2000] he bought it for his wife. He's had it for about a year now and she hasn't ridden it once! It starts without any complaining or coaxing even in the rotten frigid weather we are having now. When we took the Tblazer and the Warrior out in the snow the Tblazer did the best even though the tires weren't as good on the Tblazer. Since my wife was the only one left out I just bought her a 98 [1800.oo]. I think for your average mid to low intensity trails and woods you couldn't ask for better. I still haven't figured out how to get the power to kick in exactly when I want it to on the jumps but I don't think my wife is gonna be trying for any air any time soon. All in all I think it's a great quad and riding it is like sitting in your easy chair but going thru the trails.

It's agreat quad. Do the regular routine maintenance, and you shouldn't have a problem. It's great that you are always in the right gear.

I have two '00 Trailblazers (for me & my wife) They are wonderful bikes and easy to ride. We used to have 2 wheelers but got these after we had our son. He is 3 now and riding his own E-ton Rascal (40cc)

I would highly recommend it for your wife.

The trailblazer is a good entry level quad.

The main thing is to get her a quad that she will enjoy riding & can learn on & improve her skills. Once they are hooked & have mastered her ATV then move up to something more advanced or challenging.

Avoid getting something to big or powerfull this might scare off a new rider. The trailblazer or any other entry level quad will be a great starter quad.

You gotta love women who ride.

The nice thing about this quad is that once she masters it, and feels comfortable with it. You can throw $400 into a pipe/clutch kit, and it's like having a whole new quad. She will already be used to the handling and ergos of the quad, and will just have the new power gains to get used to, rather than going out and getting a new quad for thousands of dollars.

my 65 year old wife rides a trail blazer and it is a great machine. the 2 things i changed was the master cly because she did not feel comfortable with the stock master cly, too hard to pull. i got one for HPD with a smaller bore and she can now lock up the brakes with 2 fingers. she also likes the twist grip throttle better because we go on very long rides (4/6 hours) and the stock throttle was too hard to push. i also have the HPD master cly and twist grip on my 400 xplorer and love them.
