I did an article a while back in ATV Sport on many ways to keep your machine cool. I tested quite a few of the various additives. All were tested on same day/same temp conditions. Redlines Water Wetter proved to provide the best results. You have to follow directions though, product worked best when machine was flushed at least once. Remember on your quads, it's always a great idea to use distilled water in your cooling system. Tested the inline "radiators" also.

Yup, Water Wetter mixed w/ distilled water. The machine was flushed out twice between each product change. The inline coolant hose radiators actually proved to reduce the temp on avg about 13 degrees. Catch Eddie Sanders Racing for the inline temp gauge too....a nice piece. We hit 32 F last night!! ,if I add anti freeze does it loose its advantages?

TLC yup, the anti-freeze in the mix does reduce the effectivity. Cooler climates make it worth the piece of mind to keep things liquid.

 

yea ( i could be wrong)i think they actually offer both. 1 that is straight ww w/ the adding of water and the other is already premixed so you dont have to add any antifreeze/ ive read so many differnt sites i lost track to correct me please if im thinking of another brand.

 

The Engine Ice brand comes pre-mixed, and if my memory serves me right, it had anti-freeze capabilities. The Water Wetter is mixed by you in distilled water. All of them reduce the surface tension of the coolant. Letting the fluid contact a greater area to help it transfer the heat more effeciently. Kinda like when you over-fill a glass of water, you can actually make it "dome up" over the top of the glass. Sorry if people already were aware of the concept.
