thought id share this even tho it makes me feel stupid. my wifes 99 500 was running terrible no matter what when we opened it up it would bog and cutout i thought it was the rev limiter after playing with it and several headaches later i took it to the dealer within 30 second problem solved it turned out the foam around the air intakes had gotten tucked up under the cover and was resticting air flow to the carb he moved it down and cut the tip of the air intake and machine runs perfect im thankful i have an honest dealer close by i even had to insist he take twenty bucks for his effort
