On my two Polairis, the light is on whenever the key is on. This is more of a running light, the brake light itself is separate, an will light when the brake is used.

On my Kawi, it only comes on when the lights are on. Didn't know that till I went to replace the broken tail light.

Now I wonder how it works on the DS.

anyone know of an easy way to have the tail lights controlled by the headlight switch instead of always on?

I guess you could put them on a switch, but I'm not too sure why you would want them off when riding. Have you ever followed someone without tail lights?? It kinda sucks.

I don't want to disable the brake lights, I only want the tail lights off when the lights are not on. I don't know why anyone would want them on all the time, what's the point if its daylight?
