Moose Racing/Dynajet kit questions
The kit should be delivered today. The kit is for my '07 Hawkeye. It has a 140 main jet in the carb now, and I'm looking for advice as where to start. Since I haven't seen what's in the kit yet, I don't know what jets are included. Is it just main jets, or are other parts included?
As of now I have drilled the carb slide, and ground away the lip in the airbox. The altitude here in Indianapolis is somewhere around 800'. Again, from your experience what's a good place to start from jet wise. I don't want to have to keep removing the bodywork over and over again if I can help it. Since the airbox is part of the body I have to have it on the bike to really know when the air/fuel mixture is right....won't I? I had thought about clamping the airfilter on, and test riding it that way.
I assume running it without the snorkle tubes to the belt drive off won't hurt anything since I will be on paved streets.

Moose Racing/Dynajet kit questions
I think you are getting Dynojet's Stage 1 kit from Moose. You will get a new needle, main jets from DJ132 thru DJ148, and a drill to drill out the plug covering the fuel screw. You will also get detailed instructions that cover different elevations. They will tell you to start with the 140 main at your elevation and that is probably what you will end up with. They will tell you to open up the fuel screw to 3.5 turns for your elevation. I have mine at 3.25 for 2,500 ft so 3.5 is propably correct. I set mine up close to the instructions and haven't touched it sence.
