My 07 800X2 has an annoying ticking noise noticeable at idle only. I am using Mobil One 0w40 after the first 50 miles. I am not sure if it started at that point. I am not sure if this is valve noise or something else. I have an extended warranty but as usual I'm not sure if something like this is covered. I could check the valve clearance if I have to. Any other 800X2 owners with this condition?

 

most likely its the valves. just tell the dealer that the valves are loud and see if he'll adjust them.
