Hey guys,i just bought a 03 pred 500.Well im haveing my first problem,lol.Went riding today ran great all day.Then towards the end of the day i noticed it bogging when i would hit the throttle hard.But it seemed to clear up.Then after letting it sit for awile i started it back up and went for a ride and the bogging started again like it wasnt getting fuel and bad enough to ware i couldnt even get it to move or it would stall.Then after messing with the throttle just to get it to basicly roll home,it started running fine so i cranked it back and felt fine.Then it did it again so i cleaned the carb changed the plug and it still does it on and off?what the heck can it be?PLEASE help...........thanks..............[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

I'm new to polaris but I've seen the same symptoms in other situations. Did you check/replace the fuel filter? If not, that would be my next move and I'd also take a peek into the tank to see if there's a lot of debris sitting in the bottom of the tank. Also, check your air filter & box. I've seen mice build nest's in air boxes which will cause it to smother just like you have the choke on.

Did the bike smoke any while it was acting up?

 

did you mkae sure all the vents are clear and not crimper or blocked off? just a thought.
