Default Kolpin ATV Universal IRS 2" Receiver Hitch

Kolpin makes a Kolpin ATV Universal IRS 2" Receiver Hitch which can be seen on Wal Mart's web site http://www.walmart.com...log.....cifications

</a>

Does it fit on a Sportsman, specifically an X2? Anybody have one? Assuming it would, I would like to have one to use a rack I already have that requires a 2" receiver. (Yes, I know there are 1-1/4 to 2" converters, but I think this would be stouter.)

Thanks.

it is pictured bolted up to an 800 sportsman. it should work but im not 100% sure. and yes it does look pretty stout. if it doesnt work then u can always return it to wal-mart.

Another thought is to get a 1-1/4" to 2" adapter from a towing store or camper seller. I think they run about $15 or so.

Yep, got me on my inattentive side there, Caper... I had gone riding and was still not quite awake after a long day out on the trails with rain coming down. My mistake.

Just got off the phone with Kolpin, who said this product does NOT fit the X2. Rats. Guess I'll have to build my own.

GuitarPicker,

Check out these guys: http://www.leedengineering.com I purchased a 2" receiver from them for my 2006 Yamaha Grizzly. They're built very well and it works great. It looks like they have them for the X2 as well.

Thanks, Redhans. I just looked at their website photo. Heck, I can build one of those rather easily.

Interestingly, I just received another call back from Kolpin. They said they're going to build one for the X2 for 2008. Kolpin's appears to be more substantial than the one from Leed.
