Clutch Kit
#2
Go to www.hotseatperformance.com and buy a speed kit. They are pricey but everything in the kit is supposed to work perfectly together. I am either going to buy a kit for my 500 or possibly upgrade to an 800 or wait until the end of the year to see if they come out with a 1000. How is your 800? Heavy stearing?

Shop around on the kits.Aaen makes a good kit for the big utes as does Dalton check the Dalton kits with Rick Ritter at RcR
I personally dont care for the HSP kits.

So far its been great. The stearing is a little heavy if you compare it to a grizzly. However, Polaris did change the front suspension starting in 2005, and the stearing is alot better. My father has an 03 or 04 sportsman 700 and his stearing is alot harding than mine. The only problem that I have had with the 800 was an over heating issue, but that was just a bad sensor, and fan. Polaris did replace everything under warenty, and I have not had any problems since. So all in all I have been very happy.
I have been looking around for a clutch kit, and so far I have found a few to choose from. I just cant seem to find any kind of instructions on how to install the kit. So if you come across any kind of info on installation that would be great.

as scrammy said most come w/ instructions to install and unless you need to install spacers in the primary (and i dont beleave you do) all you need to do is take the center bolt out and the 6 bolts out of the cover if you dont have a center bolt clutch puller. a little harder but very doable. i recommend using the dalton, or heel clicker dependding on what you want to do.

WOW Sten, you recomend the HC??? I'm loving mine. I finally put the silver secondary spring in mine and the little low end bog in high range is gone. I hardly ever use low anymore unless I'm towing stuff (like a 18' camper trailer around a VERY rough campsite LOL)
