Has anybody tried putting duals on the front and back tires of a 06' Sportsman? I found a company that makes the kits for them www.dual-concepts.com, but they don't have any on the Sportsman.

wow, never even of heard of doing it or dont know why you would want to unless your driving in a swamp or something. must be a big drain on power as well and hard on the drive train. would be differnt looking for sure.

That looks really COOL. I'm sure it's hard on parts tho.

I saw a guy up in Hurley 2 memorial days ago with three wheels off of each hub. It looked insane. My son spotted it and thought we should do that to our 04 700. I figured the guy did it himself but it looked pretty professional. If memory serves me it was on a blue sporty 600. Tires were ITP's as well as the wheels. That much rubber has got to be a huge drain on power and I can't imagine the drive train is built for that. Oh yeah, probably negates your warranty as well. lol. Can you imagine seeing that thing coming at you on the trail? Better be a wide one.

Pretty cool demo from the videos. One question I have is how would
this be any different from just running extra-wide rear tires? Could
you have the same effect (traction gains)? I am not talking about
the extra strain on the tranny and such. Also, I didn't think width
would be better in mudd'in applications. When I see pics on swamp
buggies the are those skinny big wheel tires.

I have saved some pics of a 500 Scrambler that was dualled up and can float. I have a dream of an extreemly remote trail that has the bridges all worshed out and was fingering on running duals to cross the rivers.

Would also help on snow.

Realnice things aboot the duals over some really wide tire - is that you would have a lot more surface area than much of any one wide tire I know of, likely cheaper than a big tire/rim combo if it does exist, can be removed when not needed, and you have a spare with you in case of a sidewall blowout.

I would not recommend for rough use or trails.

Now a days with power steering it would be a lot easier steering dual wheels on the front for sure

Wow, I am amazed at how these duals install so quickly. I could see my brother putting them on his Foreman. Could you amagine removing them after you just ran through some major mud? You would have to carry a powerwasher with you so you could remove the wheels before trailoring. Pretty cool concept though! If I only had a disposable income, LOL.
