Hey Sport,

Where do you get the custom plastics?
Do you make them?

Regards,

I bought some used plastic off ebay then then I painted them. You can see what the plastics looked like before and after paint here.

Hey

Looks good. I have a 96 500 that I would like to clean up. What kind of primer and paint did you use on the plastic and how has it held up so far.

Thanks Jim

I used a good quality flexible primer and PPG paint. You what to make sure you clean the plastic really good and use an adhesive promoter. Also you what to make sure you use a flex agent in your paint and clear. So far its held up great but I haven't got to do much riding.

SP70003,

Where did ya learn to work on plastics? Trial and error?
How pricy is it to get all the paint, primer, clear coat
stuff? With all added to the original prices of your
plastics purchases? Just curious, as I venture down
my long road of ATV mods, repairs and upkeep.

Much obliged!

I run an auto body repair shop. I have around $300 in materials and I give $150 for the plastic off ebay. This is not counting any labor time.
