i am not sure mine is set right since the 500 is a 6 pulse what do you have your trailtech set to? mine said that the max rpm had hit 7020 rpm with just the white spring in it i know it is to high or it says to high it does not sound like it is over reving

 

I'll tell you what I have mine set at $5.00 at a garage sale. I have owned three trailtec computers and all of them have been garbage. I hope that yours works, but for the price I would send it back if you can.

I hear you, but even when the computer was set perfect and everything was working within spec's, the damn thing was still off by 4 mph and several thousand RPM.
