Default Can EBS be added?

I bought my wife a SP500 and didnt realize that it didnt have EBS. Big mistake IMO because we ride in the mountains. I really screwed up.

My wife is a rookie rider and the last thing I want her to do is get hurt. Can EBS be added by the dealer? Its an option so I would think its possible? Isnt it just a clutching change?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you don't have to buy the ebs kit which cost about 500.00,,all you have to do is change the spring setting in your secondary cluch,if you notice you have ebs until you are going real slow, then it starts to free wheel,if you give it a little gas and let off it kicks back in until you slow down, polaris don't want you to know about this, they want you to buy the ebs kit...........

wonder if they offer a aftermarket kit. is the kit just a replacement clutches. pretty expensive for 500.00 the only thing about changing the spring postion, is that is effects the top end or take off.

As an update ...

I did have EBS added to my wifes SP500. She loves how it handles now in the mountains and not any time too soon ... we are attending the Rocky Mountain ATV Jamboree next week in Utah. She will be much happier now decending steeper mountain grades and I will feel alot better knowing that she will have more control now. Thanks to all who chimed in.
