Default Purolator Oil Filter & 0W40 Mobil one oil?

Anyone use them? The mobil one oil is cheaper and probably better than the Polaris Oil and I read that the Purolator Oil Filter # PL14610 is a better filter. It is for all sportmans I think. replaces 2540086 for the 700.

I have used the Mobil 1 0-40 in my 500 engine ever since I changed the break-in oil when brand new, with no issues at all. Yes, it's way cheaper than Polaris' oil, but not any better. I have my reasons for believing in Polaris oil, but that's another topic.

Filter choice is yours. I use Fram, which the Polaris filter shockingly resembles. So, I figure why pay for an $8 Fram filter with the Polaris stamp on it, when I can buy a Fram for $4.

I use the Mobil one oil and filter. Can't find the Purolater filter which is supposed to be the best. Read that the Mobil one filter is almost as good as the Purolater in testing. I pay about $8 I think for filter.

imo, fram filters are crap. I used to use them on my mustang but after 2 failures, nevwr again will I have a fram anything on my vehicles. what's the part # for the mobil filter? mobil 1 is some of the best oil you can buy. it is actually a true synthetic. most "synthetic" oils aren't true synthetics. they are just more refined with some additives. mobil 1, royal purple, amsol, and a couple of others are the only ones that are true.
catman, if you believe in polaris oil, then why use mobil 1? I mean no offense, just curious.

I was told here on this forum that my brand new '07 700 EFI did not come with a special "break in oil" from the dealer, and that they come filled with the Polaris premium 4 0W-40 that they recommend for every oil change. What oil are you refering to when you use the term "break in oil"??
