95 Polaris Scrambler broken housing
#15
I just bought a 01 Trailblazer 250 and it looks like the exact same thing happened. As a fix it appears they use JB Weld to seal the initial crack, but the case still leaks a little. Is there any kind of internal sealant I can use until I find a replacement.
Thanks,
Forrest

Well, I called about a housing today - $218 new. I will keep looking for a used one.
Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to open the transmission and replace the housing? I figure I have to open it up to get all the metal that is inside the tranny now.

Get a manual and you will see that it is not hard but takes a little time to get it out of the frame.

This tranny should work if you change out the output shaft or you could just use the case.
