Default STEERING IS TOO TOUGH???

my 99 sportsman 500 is kicking my butt on the trails with the steering being so tough. when i have the stock tires on, the fronts are getting balder and balder every ride and it seems like the steering is getting tougher and tougher. my wife's full time 4x4 prairie can be steered with two fingers, as mine takes both hands it seems like. any add ons or ideas to loosen it up some? thanks PB500

is any part of the steering freezin up from nongreasing. joints. steering post things like that. i know when you put bigger tires on it changes the geomomenty of the steering for sure. when more contact surface is touching more restiance is added. maybe some new tires wouldnt hurt for sure. just a couple of dumb idears lol.

Maybe check the front toe as well. If the tires are toed in or out too much it will also wear the tires and fight in the steering

If the tires are getting balder with each ride the alignment is off. It should be 1/8 to 1/4 toed out from the front if not you will be fighting the steering all the time.....
