I have a 2000 SP500. My steering post lower bushing is getting worn. Can I replace the bushing with a bearing?

Mine went out pretty quickly on my 99 Sport. The only way to go (as far as durability is concerned) is the HPD brass bushing. Mines been on well over a year. If you haven't already replaced the outer tie-rod-ends with the newer ones, do that as well.

I have a 2000 Sportsman 500 and the lower bushing went too. I replaced it myself with a HPD unit. This is a quality unit and fixed the problem well. Hpd's web site is http://www.hpd-inc.com/
