Rear suspision to soft.

I have a 06 Polaris Sportsman 700efi that the rear suspsion is to soft. I tightened up the shocks but that didnt help. When I add just a 100lbs. to the rear of the bike it all most bottoms out. Anyone have any idea what might be wrong.

Does anyone know how much weight the reciever hitch is rated for? I noticed when I put a trailer behind my bike it bottoms out also. The trailer tunge weight is only about 75 pounds or less. When I put a load on top of 100 pounds I notice that my shock springs are not going down but the swing arms are taking all the weight and making the bike squt down. Is there any way to adjust this up tighter?

My 500 has a hitch tongue capacity of 120 lbs. and a towing capacity of 1225 lbs. The machine has a dry vehicle weight of 715+ lbs and a gross vehicle weight of 1200 lbs.
I would think that a 700 would have a similar tongue weight. At 120 lbs it should not normally bottom out.

My 4 wheeler does the same thing. I was hauling around a trailer with maybe 200#s and the suspension was almost bottomed out. I was thinking new springs.
