Default Fuel Pump Crapped Out? 2005 800 efi

Just went to start my 800 in order to load it in the trailer and when I turned the keyto the on position I did not hear the fuel pump kick in. Thought I misheard and tried it again, and again nothing. Cranks like crazy but the plugs are bone dry. All 4 fuses under the cover in the front trunk are fine. The quad is a 2005 with 50, yes 50 miles on it. Ran fine a week ago. Was supposed to go for my first ride in almost 2 years tomorrow. Oh well... My first thought is fuel pump (unless there is a relay for the pump). Is there an in line fuse for the pump or a fusable link? Any help would be appreciated...
Many thanks in advance,
Joe

Well sorry about your luck. Find the connector for the pump and see if it has power and ground when you cycle the key. If you have power there I would suspect the pump is bad. There was a post a month or so ago that listed an aftermarket pump, cause if you get it from Polaris you will need to buy the whole tank. Best of luck

Thanks for the referrence to the replacement fuel pump post. Saves about $350 bucks. Is the fuel pump failure caused by sitting in the ethanol fuel that we have here in NY. Only 50 miles on the quad. I am getting mixed opinions...

here is the info that scrammy is talking about pump
im not sure what causes them to break down, most of the time it heats up and shorts out but doesnt sound like the norm for yours. make sure theres power to it before you replace it.
