My check engine light came on so I did the three key turns and it gave me this code. first it blinked once then twice then twice then wait came on then twice again then twice again then six times then once.

 

what year and model of bike? the codes for mine are in the owners manual

 

its a 2006 sportsman 500 efi. I don't have the book for it it came without it.

 

i will check my book but i pretty sure my 07 will be different, if i remember right, my codes are numbers, but i will check for you.

 

You can download your owners manual on polaris's website.

 

The first set is 12 which indicates "Begin sequence".

The second set is 22 which indicates "Throttle position sensor low" or Throttle posistion sensor high"

The third set is 61 which indicates "End".

This is right out of my 06 EFI manual.
