I would try to sell your 04 500HO instead of trading it in cause you will get more. The dealer will low ball you b/c they will then turn around and sell it for about what you can get by selling it yourself. It make take a little longer, but you have to decide weather it is worth saving the extra money. Based on the NADA atv values I found from the ATV trader on line, the low retail value is $2880 and the high retail is $3785. With that said, trade in values are typically lower than the low retail value so you might be loosing a good deal of money. Just something to think about.
