Mobil 1 question
I am ready to do my 1st oil change. Went to the store and bought 2 qts of Mobil 1 0W-40 fully synthetic oil. When I got home I noticed it says European Car Formula on the front. Looked at the API Service Rating and it says SM/CF. Owners manual says I need API Rating of SH.
Looked on the Mobil web site, and they only have one type of 0W-40. Can someone explain the API Service Rating?? Am I safe??? |

I run Mobil1 15w50 in my Hawkeye. No problems using it. I might go back to 0w50 in the winter, haven't decided yet.

Mobil 1 question
I use Castrol syntec 5w-50 in the wives Hawkeye and it works great. I went with the 5W-50 because it was close to the 0W-50 weight.
