I'm sure Can Am and Polaris won't let that machine go unanswered for more than a year or so. I'd like to ride one, but then I may want one, and then I'd have to go on another forum like Instigater. Just kidding there, Instigater. We still like you, nuclear puke green Brute and all.

ok, with that said, who would want some heavy ATV or even pay for that, when you could jst get an RZR for that price. I just dont see polaris making something that big. IMO.

Having an X2 at 790lbs., before winch and gear in the front box, tells me that it isn't such a bad thing having a heavy quad as long as you aren't trying to jump it too far. Landings are not pleasent on my quad. But, for mud, trails, roads, rocks, etc. I don't mind the weight. They'll continue to try to one-up each other as long as they can. Just an educated guess here.

Remember when a 500 was the biggest jetski on the water? I bet atvs follow the same path. In 6 or 7 years their will be 1400s or worse.

I still find the 500EFI to be about the best all around engine you can get. It gets decent gas mileage, carries my 350lbs. with a passenger up and over everything I've tried (read rocks, ledges, mud, waterholes, etc.). I've even pulled a 2500lb. wood chipper a short distance up a wet grass covered hill when our trucks kept sliding. I, personally, don't see the need for anything bigger than that, but that's me. I agree they will get bigger and bigger. To those who can afford them, have fun!!! I just hope that I don't see some kid on one wrapped around a tree because he went from a kids 90cc to some huge machine.

Its the same with automobiles. I'd say that over 90% of the people who buy a Z06 Corvette don't do it because they NEED to go 190 mph. They do it for status, bragging rights, etc.
