I have a 2005 sportsman 800 the digital gas gauge quit working this weekend. It does not show up when the atv is cut off and back on. Thanks for the help.

Default Gas Gauge help

I dont know its like nothing on the gas gauge shows up like it does not have one at all. I thought there might be a fuse or a wire that got pulled loose. I dont have the owners manual for the ATV i may try to fill the tank up and see if that does anything.

I have the exact problem on my 2005 sportsman 800. The LCD that used to display the fuel level is blank. This occured after bumping a tree, so I assume a connector got jarred.

the book says you have to drasin tank and remove it to test it. w. it empty it should read 5 omhs and 90 ohms when full if you get an erratic reading then its junk and have to replace the whole thing. you use the violet/white and brown wires in the harness to check.

My wires are red violet and brown (2005 800). The brown is the ground. Anyone know which ones to test?
