Exhaust springs
#1
Hello everyone. need to know if the hooks on the end of exhaust springs need to be on one side or the other? Hooked over or under loops on pipe. u know one end of spring is curved the other way like an S. I would think they have diffrent directions of pull. anybody with an 07 stealth 800,If u could look at yours assuming they are still factory. and tell me it would help me out.
Thanks

I gotta say, I think I have found the ultimate way of getting these jokers off and on. Stretch out a metal coat hanger and twist an eye loop in both ends. Put one loop over the spring and put a screwdriver thru the other end - instant t-handle. Also the coat hanger should be about 3 feet long so you have plenty of pulling room and no busted knuckles when the spring breaks. (ask me how I know about that <grin>...
