Thanks for all of the advice. I ended up getting a 2007 800. Got a black one with a brush guard and gun boot. $7500 out the door from Outdoor Powersports in Tifton, GA.

Got a chance to ride it a little today and when I let off of the gas (going slow) i hear a clicking/popping sound. It sounds like something in the 4wd because it does not do it in 4wd. It does not do it when I am accelerating.

Any thoughts?

 

congrads on the new 800 and welcome to the club lol. also welcome to the drive line noise club. its the slap(slack/back lash) your hearing when you let off or accl. you hear it and steady driving you dont hear it.

nope. they all do it. my 06' did it and my 08' is they same way. i think when i get a few more miles on it it will start to quiet down a little.

It might be your engine break in trans. your ride downshifts when u let off gas i dont think it goes away. I'm not sure how its gonna quite down even if it is backlash cause if u lose that stuffs moving around that shouldnt.that chain in trans dont become soft or anything like that still gonna be metal on metal contact. when u release gas motor slows down RPMs like a jake break on semis when u hit gas again it releases and everything catches up again. I dunno but its nothing to worry about i agree there
