changing a ball joint
#2
I put the new ball joint in the freezer(cooling it off makes it shrink a tiny bit) Stand the machine up on its rear rack(it will stand up on its own) Remove the wheel, a-arm, Pull the ball joint, reinstall the new one(special tools very helpful) Put the a arm back on, put the wheel back on set it down. Done. Be carefull not to lengthen the axle any more than you have to on 4wd's, they can come apart in the cv joint and then you can't reassemble the machine till you get the axle put back together.
