Default Noise problems/ Why so many reports now!!!

I been reading on here about alot of noises from the Polaris line-up. Now my question is ........Why the big change in noise from the newer ones comparied to the older?....What year range are we talking about here?

Also could it be more riders are just switching over to Polaris and rode others before ....So now they hear the noise and are trying to ask questions to see if it is normal or not?............Or are these Polaris riders from before having these issues?

I just can't understand why all of a sudden there are lots of posts on this topic!!!

I seen the Axles and Rubber boots on some of the 2007/2008 models and they even look alot smaller then the ones on my 2006 Sp 450's!!!

Is Polaris changing the driveline for the better or worse???
...........Caper.......................

I wonder if some aren't new riders and haven't got used to the wheezes and gasps that the different machines make?? But I guess thats just what you said.

caper, they are using small shafts on their cv's compared to your 450 but cv's them self are the same size as they were. like your's my 450 we had didnt make any drive line noise only the 800 did. and now the new 400 doesnt make it either. most likely, like everything esle thier making them cheaper and less reliable so they some crappy. the noise im talking about is in the drive line from back lash slop on the 06' and up for sure on the 800's.

I knew the noise was from the back-lash...............But I didn't know the CV's were the same size.........Just the shaft is smaller now!!!............
Bottom line is noise is noise no matter where on the quad it's comming from!.....................Anybody else out there have some noise to report??....If so where is it comming from?
I have a bit of rattling noise from my left front brake pad!!!!........I thought first it was a CV!!!,............................Caper.........Th is noise can happen to any quad though..Not just Polaris.......................

alot more heat protection and better heat sheilds and thicker reflecting tape. doesnt seem to throw as much heat from the right side as it did.

My 2007 has a metal bracket that keeps the plastic from coming in contact with the exhaust shield. Also there is a metal tape shield. I havent had any problems. I ran about 25 miles of trails today.
