Predator 90 questions
#1
I feel kind of dumb for asking these questions but this is my first four wheeler so hopefully you can see where I am coming from. I looked around for these answers but didn't dig up much and I don't feel like bugging anyone I know so I figured I would come here.
When I start my Predator 90 (2003) it idles fine. When I try to accelerate it makes this noise like the choke is still on even when it's off and it goes real slow for about 10 seconds and then starts running fine. It only does this when you first start it, after that everything runs alright for a while. I also noticed that when I push throttle all the way for a few seconds it will start to make another weird noise and have a little bit of drag but if you let off at all the noise stops and it's running nice and smooth.
I would check the air filter, the spark plug and whatever else but I don't know where any of this is. I'm not trying to mess anything up by digging around that thing yet so I am asking you guys first before I try anything. Thanks.

Ok, i am not a super sleuth but on my 90 the choke cable was sticking even though on the handlebar it showed off it was still sticking on at the carb, if that is not it sounds like a carb issue. As far as checking the air filter just lift the seat and the air filter should be underneath and pull the tabs and open it! The sparkplug issue is easy just use the wrench under the seat and check for color and make sure it is "tan" Hope this helps
