well... does anyone find that their brand new machine with 50 miles on it smokes when it starts?

 

could be normal . i've been told the longer it takes for the rigs to seat the longer the motor will last . when i had the motor rebuilt in my toyota it smoked when it first started for the first 2,000 miles hasn't smoked since. does it use oil? does it smoke all the time or just at start up?

 

only when it starts...and just for a second.... uhhgg... i should have kept my 03 500 HO

 

couls also be the valves seating in. i think i saw this 400 smoke when the guy drove down to my truck for a couple of seconds.

 

My 800 smoked a little after start-up for the first couple of days. No hint of smoke now, 25 hours later.

 

Mine smoked a bit too, but I wondered if it was maybe running a little rich. When I pulled the plug at 10 hours it was pretty black. I put a new plug in then and it's been a light tan ever since and no more smoke.

 

I wouldn't worry about it. My new 800 did the same thing for the first couple tanks of gas. Now it quit. Runs great and no smoke.
