i just watched the polaris DVD that came with the quad. i'm confused on two things..

do i have to add oil after every tank of gas like on my snowmobiles / chainsaws...

do i have a fuel shut-off valve and reserve tank on the 500HO EFI?

if its a four stroke(which it sounds like it is) no you just check the oil every so often to make sure its up and there is no shut off for the gas or reserve on an efi model.

 

Ever since Polaris had the new LED fuel guage(bar graph).......No reserve......With this feature I do believe!!!.........Am I Correct???..........Caper.

I thought my 500 had reserve......I'll have to check it. As far as adding oil, I've never had to add any between oil changes. Unless you're burning it or have a leak somewhere, you shouldn't have to add any.
