Default no spark on 2003 sportrsman 600

hello,

I have a 2003 sportsman 600 than will not run. rode it on thanksgiving, then went out the next morning and it would not start. engine turns over fine but not getting any spark to the plugs. tried cleaning the plugs, checked the ignition and stop switches. all ok. even have 12V going into the ignition controller.
I don't have a service manual yet, but did order one tonite.
does anyone have any ideas what the problem might me. I hate to start throwing parts at it, not knowing what the problem is.

thanks

Jon

I don't have good news , Polaris sells a *kit* to fix early 600 ignition problems . It is expensive . Call me , I will help you . Way to much to type here .

Rick,

I am having the same problem with my 03 Sportsman 600. I have done ohms test that I can find numbers for. Everything stator and trigger seems to check out. Ignition switch as well. Any info on ignition upgrade would be greatly appreciated.
