Default Well I went and did it!!

I Just brought home a new 2006 Sportsman 700 EFI camo edition. I sold my 06 Kodiak 450 to my dad for a good price. I went into our local dealer last Saturday to check out the after Thanksgiving specials and came out with a new ATV!!! I really like the features on this ATV. I hope it is as reliable as the Kodiak was.

You sure will feel more power, but didn,t the 450 have every feature available for any Utility ATV? Liquid cooled, selectable 4x4,diff lock,IRS ,low range, auto, and Disk brakes? etc...

Yes it had all of those features, but I like the extra storage on the sportsman and the 4wd system is much easier to use. I think the camo plastic is better too. The Kodiak was a great machine but lacked in the power department.

Good move, most of us at one time or another will want a new machine. If we can get more power, comfort or ease of use, its just Icing on the cake. But we will always hope for at least as good of reliability as the last one, if not better.

I got to ride it some tonight after I got home from work and what a sweet ride!! So much smoother then the Kodiak. And the Power OH YA!!! Can't wait for the weekend so I can put some more time on it.

Anyone using Mobile 1 0w-40 in there sportsman? Polaris is pretty proud of there oil around here. I switched the wifes Hawkeye over to Castol 5W-50 the last oil change and it seems to work great.

Someone had a 06 new still in stock? WOW! The dealers around here, barely have any 07's, its like finding a needle in a hay stack.

You will love the ride, hope you got the warranty with it.

Also, My dealer told me if you use any other oil besides polaris's it voids the warranty. Anyone else hear that? Is it true? And how can they know, My dealers service department can't even find the code for the check engine light!

My dealer is pretty big and this was a late 2006 in camo. The dealer told me that the camo ones don't sell as well as the other colors. I don't think they can void the warranty for not using Polaris oil as long as what you are using is the same API service or higher grade oil, unless they can prove the oil caused the failure. At least thats the way it is in the car bussines which I have been in for 20 years now.
