you really cant compare these 2 bikes as there totally differnt. mono shock, straight axle, and sport light weight w/ bigger engine. the 400 sp. is alot samller and riding it i can see where in most cases you wouldnt need the low range as its geard fairly low and lighter to boot. but the scram. would handle better when trying to hammer on high speeds but the 400 is better on worst trails. either sport or couch riding. no quick turns at speeds w/ the 400 or you will go over for sure. just imo.

you know the only real bad part(to me anyways) baout the scrammy is that its chain drive(drags thru the mud) and low to the ground will small tires. but there again any swing arm is the same way. put being a youngest, i dont think he would like the sp 400 compared to the faster and better handling for him scrammy. its basicly the same as the t blazer set up and i got rid of it becasue the wife was always getting stuck and hard ride w/ the mono shock on her. but great trail handler.

Default Christmas Wishes!

This past year has really changed my life! I got married on the 12th of May to my beautiful wife. We bought a house over a year ago and been super busy with that. My job on the other hand, working to restore rivers is rough ( I haven't been paid in 10 weeks) and the holidays are pressing on. For those of you who trust in the Lord to provide keep trusting... I'm a believer myself.

Some friends think I'm Amish! yeah I don't have a television, internet or even a paper coming to my door step, but I do own a phone. I think I'm healthier than I ever been. I get out and enjoy the nature more often and I love to garden. Most of all I own an '04 Sportsman 500 an have been using it more now. I only have 200 miles on it and my wife bought me a plow so I can play with it more. Ain't she the BEST... sniff...

I like to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and never forget the true meaning of it.

For those of you who wonder how I live without tv, newspaper and internet... well all I can say is give'em up and find out for yourself. My wife and I get to spend more time with friends and family and I spent the most time hunting this year than I ever had. All those other things take away time and time is precious to me. Therefore I'm more happy to be without all the other jargon. If I want the news... I talk to people. If I want entertainment... I have my wife and family and friends for that. If I want time for myself I hunt or go for a ride on my wheeler!

God Bless everyone!

Runof river,

Nice and kind words! I do wish many times to live more simple. Your right time is too
precious! Sounds like you have happiness and most who live in this technology age
seeking it and trying to find it in shallow relationships and such fail and end up depressed.

I don't say it enough, but like you I have a great wife and family. Love my kids and
just can't wait to do more things. It will be fun to get them on wheelers in the dayz
ahead to enjoy the outdoors!

BTW, how are ya connecting to the net? Blackberry, Cell phone, work, friends house, library?

Cheers and Merry Christmas all!

OK I'll fess up... I'm using this forum while at work. Stendori... you're good! Rtickwad... I wish you the best! Remember to tell your wife and kids how much they mean to you. One thing I love about my Father is every chance I get to see him we give each other a big strong hug for you never know when its going to be your last. He just turned 65, was my Best Man in my wedding and my best friend in life next to my wife. My Mother admires my strength for not giving into things like tv and other material stuff. Funny though I know a lot about computers and all sorts of technologies and work with them on a daily basis but I have no intention on having them home.

This winter I have 15 different furniture that need restoring/refinishing, two book cases to build, a wooden radiator cabinet almost completed for the bathroom, and several other small projects such as fly tying. Hmmm... wonder what my new bride is up to while I'm at this stuff??? Awe probably taking the wheeler for a spin.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

RticKwad,

I enjoyed your pics of the 450 Kwad! I've got a sportsman 500 HO myself and I'm hooked too.

Say where did you get that 3 way wiring? Looks simple enough to make one myself. Could you tell me how they joined the yellow and green wire together?

Runof river,

Sure thing man, you can get the product from
Quadovator. Its the 3-way light mod for the Sportsman's.
It uses a cross connector that once the correct wires
are inserted you just crimp them together and it
does the cross for you, I think it works by using a
diode attached on the other end? Really easy though
if you buy this and do it yourself. I found Quadovator to be very
reputiable and good dealing with, not to sure about
some Ebay folks who sell the thing for a little less?

Here is the link: http://www.quadovator.com/

Price on the product is about $12 bucks.

Now if you do a search here in the forums you will
see how many of the ATV geeks (me too) have just done
it themselves of crossing the wire, soldering it and such with
little to no cost maybe $4 bucks for an electric part. As for me
I wanted something an idiot proof way to guarentee me I won't
splice the wrong wire etc. and thought adding the pics would help
anyone with additional visual instruction.

Cheers my friend and avoid the materialistic urge to buy
more products from them, pray for me and I will pray for
you, LOL, LOL, take care Merry Christmas!
