magnum 325

I have had my 325 for just over a year now and am very pleased. It has more power than you can put to the ground in low range. Top speed is only about 40 mph. I use it mostley for utility work and have been on the trails a few times. You will like the ride, shaft drive and big seat. The flat racks are usless so I built a new front rack with sides and tied a milk crate on the right rear corner. I also use a 50" moose plow and it does good with chains. This is the only ATV I have ever owned and the only other one I have ever been on was an Explorer. The Explorer was MUCH quicker but hard to control speed at low speeds. I am sure a 500cc would be nice but for a utility machine around the farm this is fine.

I've had my Magnum 325 for about 4 months now and love it. I use mine for utility work like moving logs, stretching barbed wire, hauling corn to the deer feeders. Everything that Dand11 said was so true, the big comfy seat, shaft drive is wonderful, smooth ride, more than enough power for hard utility work. I added a hitch hopper basket on the back which I throw the chainsaw in, along with other ranch stuff. I have many shallow river crossings, and some with tall steep embankments and no problem climbing out. Don't know how I got along without this Polaris for so long. When I throw it in low range, I have yet to be at a loss for power. It's my new horse!
By the way, 40 MPH is about it on the top end, but that's plenty fast enough for this old fart. If I need to go faster, I'd prefer to be in my truck !

Yes, the Magnum is a good machine. I just have to wonder why you would trade a Rancher for it. You say they are both 2WD, and if approximately the same age, all you'd be gaining is the auto trans. While they're both good machines, Honda's DO have better resale value.
