I have a 1995 Scrambler 400 .. It has been bored and polished, Hot Seat Carb and clutch . I am not sure on the jetting.. I am sure it is not stock... It also has a aftermarket header on it.

What pipe would be good to throw on this .. I really do not want to change the jets or anything ... ALso what do you think the top speed of this should be with some of these aftermarket parts?

please find out if you have a scarmbler 400 or 500...400's do not have headers.

 

Ok this may sound stupid .. but what is the easiest way to tell ? The model number is W957840 on Google it says its a 1995 Scrambler 4X4 but not if it is 400 or 500 .. I know it is a 2 stroke... It sure looks like a header on it to me .. it is huge ..Is along the side... Is this called somethign else?

 

I have found a few parts sites that list it as a 400 .. and it is bored 40 over so .. my best guess would be 440cc of approx displacement

What should I get ?

 

somewhere on the engine it should say the size mine is on the crank case under the cylinder it is a white sticker yours is probly somewhere else

 

its a 400 2 stroke what your saying it doesnt have a pipe? did you just buy this? www.rittercycle.com has all you need. there isnt a spark arrestor on it?

 

Yes it has a factory pipe and an aftermarket header....

 

it has a pipe and silencer if its a 400. A 500 has a header and muffler. check out www.rittercycle.com or www.hpd-inc.com or www.hotseatperformance.com
